This week’s edition of CLASSICAL GUITAR ALIVE! features interviews recorded in January 2009 with guitarist-composers Susan MacDonald and Anibal Acosta.

Concert guitarist Susan MacDonald discusses how performing for patients at MD Anderson Cancer Treatment Center created a new perspective in music making, and marked the beginning of her career as a composer.

Anibal Acosta speaks about his “Serenata for violin and guitar,” which won first prize in the 1987 MTNA Composition Contest.
